The Obama administration released their climate action plan this week, which outlines their intentions to reduce carbon emissions in the United States. The President announced that he will be pressing the Environment Protection Agency to develop pollution standards to cap carbon emissions specifically generated by power plants.

The climate plan touches on several of Obama’s solutions to the carbon emissions issue, to include natural gas development, an increase in renewable power generation, and Generation III nuclear power reactors. The President referenced Vogtle and V.C. Summer nuclear new-build construction by stating, “We’re building the first nuclear power plants in more than three decades in Georgia and South Carolina”.  President Obama mentioned small modular nuclear reactors as an additional key component of the plan.

Absolute Consulting is proud to currently support the construction of both Generation III nuclear power reactors at Vogtle and V.C. Summer.
