Federal regulations dictate the parameters and limits of reimbursable living expenses. At Absolute Consulting, our goal is to follow the intent and letter of laws regarding reimbursement of duplicate living expenses; and in doing so; we try to use the maximum allowable per diem rate possible. However, when a client contract stipulates a lower per diem limit, we’ll work with the client representative and the employee to get as close to the maximum allowable reimbursement rate as possible.

Federal government regulations also detail acceptable, and unacceptable, tax-free reimbursement as well as time limits related to these expenses.
