What do you do at Absolute Consulting?

In addition to my role as Director, I am responsible for company efforts in the specialty areas of Dry Cask & Decommissioning, Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Licensing. I’m responsible for marketing, developing customer relations, scoping projects, and establishing and maintaining client contracts. I assist with project support relations between corporate office and specific project sites. In this effort, my work has lead me into the international business sector in support of decommissioning projects in European Union (UK) and working with partners and customers in support of commercial nuclear power plant new build and licensing activities for the company.

What is your background?

Attended the University of New Hampshire. Have over 29-years experience in business operations handling various projects, both domestic and international. My duties have included Design, Engineering, Construction, Fabrication, Manufacturing, Test and Start-Up, Operations, Dry Cask Storage and Decommissioning of commercial nuclear power plants. Area of responsibilities included: Project Management, Engineering and Quality Assurance/Control and Root Cause Analyst. Certified and qualified
NQA-1, ASQC and ANSI N45.2.23 Lead Auditor - Program and production evaluation.

What was your first paying job?

At age 10, I mowed lawns and cleaned the common area of apartment buildings at a military housing development for $25.00 a week.

If you could go back to school, what would you study? Why?

Culinary Arts – I love to cook and entertain.

What is your favorite place to travel and why?

Europe because I grew up there; it’s like going back home.

You’re on a deserted island, what are your three “must haves?”

Beer, satellite TV and a solar powered generator. You might as well make the best of it.

Bachman Turner Overdrive and Thin Lizzy tour – Hamburg Germany 1975.
